Caroline Chanin is a vocal coach and classically-trained opera singer helping people project their truest selves through song, speech, and movement. For over thirty years, Caroline has been a trusted vocal coach to students of all ages. Her teaching philosophy centers self-expression, technique, and joy, empowering students to sing their truest selves into existence. Whether you are preparing for an audition, learning to sing for the first time, or want to learn how to speak and present yourself more confidently, Caroline will equip you with actionable tools to help you project your best voice and be heard.
Caroline is a New Jersey-based voice teacher and performer. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she has sung at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, New York’s Town Hall, the National Arts Club, the Vineyard Theater, and the Westport Country Playhouse in its acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol directed by Tazewell Thompson.
In opera, Caroline has performed the title role in Rossini's La Cenerentola and has sung Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. She has performed principal roles in Le Nozze di Figaro (Cherubino), Tales of Hoffmann (Giulietta) and Cosi Fan Tutte (Dorabella). She has sung with the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Gerald Steichen and Petko Dimitrov in selections from the American Songbook and operatic favorites performed in Lasdon Park (NY) and Ridgefield (CT). As an oratorio soloist and song recitalist, she has performed throughout the United States and Canada. Favorite roles in regional theatre include: Lady Thiang (The King and I), Yente (Fiddler on the Roof), Julie (Showboat), and Nancy (Oliver!).
Caroline holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from SUNY Purchase.
